First of all, our plane from SLC to Atlanta was delayed, so that by the time we got to Atlanta, only had 30 minuits to sprint across the huge airport to get to our plane to Buenos Aires. I think we ran literally 2 miles in that time, and barely made it through the closing doors onto our plane. Then, when we arrived at the airport here, there was nobody waiting to pick us up, so we had to wander around the airport looking like the most confused greegos in the world, untill finally 2 hours later, a guy came to pick us up. But after a quick 10 minute drive from the Airport, we were already at the MTC. The actual MTC is directly next to the temple, and is so small that it is mostly hidden by all of the construction equiptment that surrounds the temple (which is under what looks like extensive renovation). But all i can think to myself is that I feel soooo sorry for all those poor missionaries who are stuck in the Provo MTC, because even though I am only a few hours into my mission, I am already having the greatest adventure of my life. I cant imagine how much less exciting the MTC must be there, where you can actually understand what other people are saying.
On the plane, it was cool to be able to talk to a few Argentines about who I was, and what I was doing, and i think that I got a small taste of just how exciting the feeling of sharing the gospel is. And I am starting to become less nervous, especially because I am not the worst spanish speaker, and because at least I have 5 other elders who flew down with me, and are in the same boat that I am in.I am so excited to see what this MTC experience is going to be like!
Well, gotta go! This is going to be so much fun!
