parades, transfers, and a resourceful baptism

The baptism of Hector! He is a Capo. Hector is the tall dark one, the little one is the member that baptized him (note the size difference)

May 18th was a super important day for the city of Las Piedras.

Ok, sorry, but i had problems with my computer last week, but here we go for this week.

So, first of all let me explain a little bit about Hector, the baptism that I had last week. Everything was going fine, he was all interviewed up andeveryting. The day of the baptism we went to the church to fill the font... and there was no water in the chruch! so we went into panic mode, and started to thing of the options. First, we called the fire department, and they came to fill it up with a fire hose, and they had just started to fill the font when the got a call for a real emergency and had to leave... so we were left there with a font full only about one foot with pretty durty fire water... but long story short ( and a ton of phone calls!) We had to just borrow the baptismal font of the church in the next door city. in the end, even though we saw a ton of opposition, everything turned out good, and it was one of the most spiritual baptismal services that I have ever had (eventhough he ended up getting almost baptized about 10 times, he had problems making it all the way under the water). It was a good testimony to me to see that no matter what opposition came our way, he wanted to get bptized that night, and the lord worked everything out for us in the end.

Last weekend was changes, and me and my companion both will stay here 6 week more! There were a lot of whitewashes in our zone, so we are having to work really hard to keep things running smooth, but i love having awesome district leaders who are self sufficiant. We are excited as a zone because we are seeing a ton of miricles (and beause we have 3 OROs in our zone which consist of a Brasilero and from Australia.)

This weekend we will have the baptisms of Nicolas and Miciela Perdomo, a brother and sister who are super amazing, but I will tell you all about them next week !

Thank you for your prayres and support. I love having so many people who are supporting me, and helping the work of the Lord to progress.
